Hong Kong Link Up is a non profit organisation which aims to link up British residents with Hong Kongers arriving in the UK.

香港連隣是一個非營利組織，旨在將英國居民與抵達英國的香港人聯繫起來。

As of January 31st 2021 over 3 million Hong Kongers are eligible to move to Britain and live and work here. Estimates range from 100,000 to 300,000 arriving in the first year.

So what can we do, what can you do, to help our new arrivals?

We are launching a buddy-system which aims to pair Hongkongers with local Brits.

Admin like setting up a bank account or registering at a hospital might be second-nature, even boring to us, but for newcomers in a new country it might be confusing even daunting.

Meaningful community integration can take years, sometimes generations. It doesn’t have to be so. Let’s welcome our new neighbours, bring them into our friend groups, make them feel right at home.
